I did the South Poway (Trans-County) Trail earlier this year and it's does have some good climbing (or hike-a-bike if your me) through Poway on the fire roads.

I still need to find this non-DH epic loop at TW that PacMan keeps telling me about.

We'll be going N.C. soon haven't done Elfin yet & that is on the list as is Black Mtn.

Yeah sounds like we'll be doing TW either Tues or Wed. around 4:15-4:30pm.

I'm planning a Black Mtn/Santa Luz/LPQ ride on the weekend of the 15th if you guys are interested. We'll hit just about all of Black Mtn, the good stuff at Santa Luz, and then over to LPQ for some Tunnel action. Multiple bail out and extra credit options available.

I'll put in the calendar as it gets closer.

Or we could just ride from Elfin to Black Mountain

Not sure what time you would start (busy Sat in the am) but I would be interested in going. I haven't ridden BM or SL yet. I don't know how long I could hang since I have been out of the saddle for a while but I would like to give it a shot.
