Hrmmm yeah... maybe I should wait for my wait for my new health insurance to kick in.... I had an OTB yesterday and all I could think of was how much this was going to cost me.

You can do it on a hardtail I remember watching videos of mountain bike bill on a hardtail. I use a XC full suspension and it works great, if you have less suspension your just gonna have to take it slower on some rocky sections probably.

I've never done Nobel on anything but a hardtail. Theres just some sections you will want to walk. The downhill kind of has everything. Smooth areas, rocky areas, some jumps and drops (nothing that doesn't have an easy path around it). It can be technical and is rated as advnaced. You should be confident in your skills. I brought someone there once without warning and he got injured and he never called me again. Needless to say he was trying to keep up with some big dogs on very rocky sections but still, bad ettiquitte on my part. So there is your warning...but youll be ok if you dont ride outside of your level.

So nobody is up for the uphill?

Oh maaaan...

Your in for a real treat. I climbed it once....once
It was my first time there and I did it on a solo mission back in the '90's when I was in shape, youchers!!!!!
Boo and I used to ride Noble on our hardtails until just a few years ago...not too bad, it's not that difficult if you know what your going into and have decent bike handling skillz...
Have fun!!!

first time I rode, we made the drive from OC and realized halfway there that we forgot the book/map. none of us had every been.
first we got turn around and ended up on the perfect cycling trail......
then we crossed Sunrise and did Indian creek......
we started looking for BLT and ended up on Noble, not realizing until it was too late......
that climb sucked big time after 20 miles or so......
