^^^ It's an oxymoron; "Favorite" and "Climbing Trail". But I know it as The New Trail; right after you cross the creek and emerge from the shaded oak area.

Is the New Trail by the traditional creek crossing where there used to be that awesome bridge or is it by one of the other crossings to the west downstream? A month or so ago I noticed a new trail cut downstream from there by the "last" bridge, the most westerly over the creek which is now destroyed. Btw, was pretty sure someone lives up by the tree cluster near the top of it based on the noises I heard.

Yes, “New Trail” is the right fork after the creek, where the stub of an old metal post is in the dirt. To the right is a rock garden section. To the left is that rutted old uphill fire road (pretty much single track now) that goes direct to the SDG&E road. Or so I hear.

Got it. That rock garden makes it a short hike for me until I get to the left turn. May try again.

Rode the Boggy Draw Trail today up above Dolores, CO. 17.8 miles and 1300' of elevation (I think) all between 7500-7800' above sea level. I've ridden here 3-4 times before but the elevation worked me today. Beautiful day though. The trails are like riding at BLT but sees much less traffic so singletrack stays single and it's much more windy.

A twofer pic from my daughter, in the DT tradition. My granddogs & her new-bike-on-a-couch shot from Denver. The hardtail I bought her several years ago got stolen so her fiancé got her another for her upcoming birthday.
