Hi,

Up until about 5 years ago I had rode PQ weekly for many years. Since moving further north I have been focusing on other trail systems. I wanted to come back and ride PQ again but am not sure how everything is there now. When I used to ride there I would park on top of the Mesa, drop down cobblestones, head to power line, drop down "Rockinghorse tunnel", back up another tunnel, over the ridge, down the shits, then back up cobblestones. A nice quick ride with some fun stuff. Question is, could I still do that route? If not is there a similar route? Anyone have a map, or GPS route I could have?

Cheers,
sik sd

So I went. WOW! Sure has changed above cobbles. Below though looks very much the same. Now my question is. I used to go down tunnel 2 - Rocking Horse and come back up tunnel 4. Today I went down tunnel 4 but couldn't figure out how to get right back up to the same ridge I started at so I went back up tunnel 4. Is there a way to get back up to the same area as tunnel 4 start (without going back up 4)?

"rocking horse" aka T3 is no longer and brushed off. You can only legally go down T4 and back up the same (Probably the one you used to go back up)
The trails that are still open are marked and the ones that are closed should be marked if the high winds didn't blow the signs down.

Riding up T4 is a death wish. I've almost been creamed head on a couple of times climbing up T4. I won't do that again.

You can loop it with a little road so that T4 is only downhill. T4 downhill, T1 across to the east, up the hill to the dirt volcano and around it to get to the bridge over the 56 to the east of tunnels. Cross 56, turn right at the second light, and drop into the north end of Darkwood Canyon to head back into PQ canyon.

Of course this will get killed soon when they start building the giant construction project East of T1.
