^^ Not sure if you’re making fun of the paranoia, adding to it or a little of both; but I got to test the IP### waterproofness of my iPad as I just spit out my beer.
Kudos.

Regardless of who owns it and if it is legal or not, Barbed Wire is No Bueno and I personally applaud anyone for taking down Barbed Wire where I routinely take my son for bike rides and hikes. It is stupid to put Barbed Wire in a place that is not designed to be keeping live stock in check.

I saw the sign and cameras this morning. Didn’t see any other signs or cameras anywhere else that we rode today.

I'm sorry but that camera setup looks like some pissed off trail user installed it. The green wire that was across the trail is pretty lame. If that was installed by any "official" person from DFW, Carlsbad, etc... they should be trained before moving forward. Totally BS any way you see it.

That section of barbed wire across the trail with 2 poles referenced earlier really concerns me. That can & will injure someone if they don't see it in time. It's totally Illegal to install that without any signage and/or other warnings that it's there. Once again, if anyone with any official duty to be installing that hazard trap needs to be fired and possible legal action taken against them.
Five months ago I ran into a wire across the trail causing me to fall. I sprained my ankle, strained my calf muscle, and tore my Achilles tendon. Since that day I have been unable to run and every movement of my foot is felt. It's getting a bit better but will be a long time before getting better if it ever does. I'm monitoring that trail myself and will be taking action when I have all my proof.
The person that is installing that section needs to be held accountable. Someone can get injured or worse..

The barbed wire is CLNM.

The camera is probably DFG.
Gabe the gardener. He has no
clue!
Which is good for us.

Big Clyde- are you saying for sure that those 2 posts with barbed wired that have been moved two times was installed by CLNM?

No. Not for sure.
But, they manage the land and
there is another trail further south
that from what I remember is blocked
by barb wire.
I’ll double check tomorrow!

Just to clarify, the two posts and barbed wire were not installed. It looks like an old piece of fence that’s been laying on the ground for a while in this pristine nature preserve. :) Someone has just dragged it over onto the trail and left it there twice that I’ve seen.

OK, so they weren't hammered in but just laid across. Got it. That's lends me to believe that there is real DBag out there that wants that trail closed and/or wants harm done to someone. If that dick was an official of some sort that would be even worse.

I think we passed you today on the fire road to the pad. We saw one or two of them. They are on established fireroads. Still weird to see them there, I'd rather not.

In PQ, during the tunnels closure, DFW set up cameras to study game/people traffic before, during, and after the closure. I attended the meeting afterwards where they shared the data and even got to see a couple of the pictures. Boy did I look fat in those pics
'cause I am what I am...
