Favorite Trails: ???
I ran into these guys at that Trails in Motion bike festival in Carlsbad this weekend. They said that they worked w/ a industrial/graphic designer to get the bike to look different than the other bikes. They are big on their floating rear brake design and the location of their rear pivots (i.e. near the wheel so that flex from the pivots results in relatively small sideways flex of the wheels due to the smaller moment arm). I have no idea if these design changes actually make a difference. I was a little surprised at their pricing, with the entry level bikes starting at $5K+ and the highest level builds around $8K. Right now they only offer 1 model and it's only in carbon. One of their engineers used to work at Intense. Demos should be available sometime after Thanksgiving.
