Hi,
Is anyone on here riding/ridden the Meta v4 or 4.2?

Any comparisons to other bikes?

Did you like it? Would you buy one again or recommend to a friend?

THANKS!

Has anyone gone to their store front in Carlsbad? How much do they let you test out bikes there? Because I'm certainly interested in one, but I really want to ride it before committing the big bucks.

I randomly ran into a couple of their reps while riding at Ted Williams a few weeks ago. They told me that $100 gets you a demo for the entire weekend which is a heck of a good deal. Plus the demo money comes off the price of a bike if you buy. Prices for Commencal bikes appear to be pretty good. They are aluminum-only frames and seem to spec good components for the money.

Haven't tried the new V4 range. The long travel version felt better. I was able to ride around the lot a bunch, then my Dad (he was the one shopping) took one out for a weekend. Overall, not a bad bike, but he ended up with a SC Hightower 27.5+.

If you're looking for "bargain" bikes, check Canyon, they recently opened up also in Carlsbad. The Spectral looks pretty good.
