If you haven't heard, Skypark at Santa's Village on Hwy 18 in Rim of the World is open for biking.
It's good clean fun.

I encourage you DTers and friends to check it out. I want it to be successful because I want them to invest on even more stuff for kids to do in the village (like zipline and stuff).

There is also a lot of real estate left up there for future trails. At the moment, Skypark has four main trails open from the peak. Comet and Arrow are my favorite as both pack a variety of elements on each trail. Jump trail is cool but too monotonous for my liking. The best part, it only takes less than 10 minutes of approximately 220 ft of climbing each time to get back up. Last Sat, I rode for just over 2 hrs of moving time, got 11 miles (9 runs), 1880 ft of climbing with 1860 of descending. I took over kids watch around 2PM so my wife could ride. So I could easily have ridden more since they are open until 5 or 6pm.

Skylar is back and way faster than I could recall last time shredding with him.

Way older than Fred

These tree sections are bench cut and banked now. A lil too manicured for me but fun going all out faster nonetheless.

Threats to Fred. :bang:

Thanks for letting us know about this. Is there any information on pricing to ride there? I wandered over to a daily admissions ticket page and found these prices, although I'm not sure if these are for the bike park or for somewhere else. The website says the bike park is "coming soon" but based on your post I'm assuming it's incorrect and in need of an update?

Adult ticket: $29
Under 12 or over 60 ticket : $19
Annual pass: $99
Parking Sat and Sun: $10

The website is not quite up to date and technically, the bike park and the village attractions are all open now even though they have not officially announced their opening yet. They will broadcast it soon when they officially have a grand opening. They are still putting in continuous work in both the village attractions (Santa's Village) and the bike part itself. The trails received some nice adjustments to the lips on Jumpline and some contouring on the tree sections on the other trails. They also improved on signage on a couple of junctions we had to guess where to go to the first time we went. Otherwise, the staff have all been so amazing. Great vibes throughout.

Day pass is $29 plus the parking. At the end of the day, if you think it might be something you want to come back (and maybe bring your kids next time if you have one or few) for, then buy the season pass for $99. They will credit your day pass and parking into the $99. Season pass includes parking for each visit and some free stuff from their store for each day visit (i.e. frozen lemonade, etc).

Season pass is also good for full year from date of purchase - not just summer. We'll see if they could keep the bike park open in the winter. They will try.

I forgot to ask if they are fine with us drinking beers in their parking lot.

Don't know about tailgating but the lot is pretty big and has not been near full capacity yet.
Otherwise, there is an actual pub in the village.

I've requested to build a dirt course for this ride attraction. It can corner.

It's not that big (actually it's short) and you carry Spaceballs speed running up to it. I scrubbed pretty hard in that photo to not overshoot it but still did. So fun to float.
You will like the Jumpline, Shannon maybe except for one really silly feature they call Whale's tail. Waste of wood for a feature. 30 jumps on one trail - all table.
