wait... you found a beer?..

Ok - so it doesn't necessarily look like anything nefarious going on (other than possibly cute shorts).

I can't say I'm missing that nonsense while I ride out here in Durango this week. I went back and rode at an area called Phil's World in Cortez today ( https://www.mtbproject.com/trail/621788 ... y=Phil%27s )...it's 100% singletrack, 100% directional and 100% mountain bikers as nobody else is allowed. Off to Crested Butte on Thursday. Try to have that Calavera stuff settled before I get back will ya Harley?

It hasn't been handled for 40 years now so you might have to wait a wee little longer than next week.

Rode out there yesterday and ran into DFG ranger Gabe taking out jumps on jump line. There was yellow tape across the trail. He reminded us we should not be riding there, in a nice non-threatening way.

Too bad he wasn't using that shovel to fix the ruts out there.
I would really like to know the true underlining reason they want that closed off. House? Buildings after everyone leaves that place? (which won't happen)

Yeah, what's the point? Making it public; I will help rebuild the berm trail. Those fuckers...

Be forewarned, there’s yellow tape, brush, and signposts right in the middle of several trails that feed into or exit that trail.

I'm sure the people that drain up septic tanks are making an honest living but it ain't a job I want to do

The "person" tearing up the trails is not to blame. As you stated, he's just doing his job as instructed.
What we need to find out is who is telling him to do that and more importantly, why? Why there & now?
I always like to follow the money and it usually leads to the answer.

I guess I shouldn't spend 1M on one of those fancy homes in Carlsbad to be closer to Calavera and look elsewhere. F 'em
