A mountain biker died in a trail crash at Santa Rosa Plateau. I saw this on IVMTB. I don't know him, but offer my condolences to those who did. I don't see any need for speculating about this; just posting it as a reminder that our sport is not without risk.

Appreciate every ride.

Amen to that Dan. My worst injury in nearly 25+ years of riding, a neck injury that occurred at Calavera while going WALKING SPEED (OTB while rolling an 18" drop I should have launched off). You never know out there so enjoy the ride!!

Thanks for posting it up Dan and so sorry to hear. That place is one where I do a lot of sole rides before heading over to my pops house to take him to lunch. Pretty mellow place but like K2 stated, it doesn't take much to injure yourself.

My signature line after losing my mutt: "You never know what tomorrow will bring so go riding today or walk your pooch"
