Had to get out...thought I could take a little spin at Calavera if I stayed on high ground...Nope. It was real messy. So I hiked around a bit. There were quite a few hikers and runners today. I almost lost a shoe here and there it was so muddy.

Here are a few pics and videos...

Hopefully next week it will be dry enough... I sure so miss my bike... :(

Update: I went out for an hour Monday afternoon, about 3 pm and rode up and down the Volcano, which itself was okay to ride, but around it was not, yet. I should have taken a picture, but I can report that around the beginning on the main climb up there are a couple big ass sinkholes that are close to obliterating the existing trail in that area, the first big grunt uphill, by the slope of immense ruts.

Okay, I don't know what other locals call them, and I don't care what the Stravassholes named them, but hereinafter I will refer to these two lines as The First Big Grunt Uphill, and The Slope of Immense Ruts. Watch out for the sinkholes, they could hide Rodents of Unusual Size.

Grimm- More than likely if you are ready to have the wheels rolling at 8:30 tomorrow you will find a group to ride with. Post up that you'll be there and they should chime in
