I'm down for a Tour de Simpson Park. It's been 10 years since I rode there once, and meaning to go back.

Ok... so I'm pedaling up & away on the FullGnarton Loop tonight and I get passed by this guy on a Levo. I looked back and saw him way back there but he came up on me pretty fast. We rode along for a while talking eBikes. He has many other bikes BUT he also has two bad hips. This 50 yr old guy will be getting those replaced in 3 weeks but he loves the bike. It kept him in the game
So he asks me: Wanna try it out? Oh hell ya I do.
I have to say it is a trip riding this thing. Like Ozzer has said, you need to ride one before you bash on it. You still have to pedal it and there is no elec button to push. Just pedal and it goes along with you with 3 settings of assist
For people that are having a hard time on trails like this guy, this bike will change their lives for the better.

Hmmm, are they below 30 lbs and cheap? :-?

Reviving this old ebike thread. Here's a video I stumbled across showing why we need to allow access to ebikes in wilderness...

Europe has sold its soul.
Here they come. Not a matter of if but when (just like 11 speed, 1x and wagonwheels).

FWIW. Was in BW in Encinitas a couple weeks ago buying some road tubes and, crap forgot his name (he's been there forever), said they sell about 3 FS e-bikes a month when I half jokingly asked about the beast on display front and center. Didn't sound like the people buying them were noobs/kooks/Freds (sorry Fred); rather people wanting to get more laps in at various places where having some assistance on the ups would be nice.

Kinda inevitable they start showing up on local trails, IMO. And all the mess that'll lead to...

A new wrinkle: today I saw two guys on electric dirt skateboards on the trails. Looked like fun.

Dangit...Why do most screenshots never have over 50% battery life on them?
