Is there a way to get from the Shadowridge area to Calavera without a lot of road riding?

Welcome to Vista Odb!! Yes, one way is at the dead end of Cannon. If you want access from farther south, it's possible too, but you might need to do some exploring. It might look on the sat map like you could get access from Buena Vista or South Buena Vista Park, but you can't. I'm guessing you can still find a way in from the neighborhoods or industrial park near Faraday & Melrose, then over to the SDG&E dirt road by the agricultual fields, and north to the Calavera area.

Bump...since the demise of Flightline I haven't pushed my feeble legs all the way south to ECR but once. How about some of you intrepid explorers searching out big-mileage archipelago-style links? Got an update?

Work near Melrose and Faraday.

Several years ago I went exploring from the mostly empty, future industrial park off Whiptail. One could just barely make out the old trails but most of the going was a serious bushwhack. Imagine it's all even more overgrown now.

A little bit meat left on bone around Fl . Basically an out & back. Only breakout when feeling nostalgic. Most what is left is overgrown. Puff Magic me if interested in a retro spin.
