Hi,
Anybody here ever ride east of Bishop? Looking for more adventurery type riding to mix in with a trip to Mammoth. Anybody got info on the descents from White Mtn Rd down to the valley. If you've ridden Silver, Poleta or Black Canyon would you ride them again? Favorite(s)?

Edit: Also looking at the Sand Canyon descent from Rock Creek Lake. I've ridden Lower Rock Creek before and thought it was great. How's the bottom of SC to Wagon Wheel? Worth it? Or can one cut over to LRC somehow?

Thanks

I was dropped off at Rock Creek lake so didn't have to retrieve a vehicle. It's a mile climb there are a couple little lakes to explore with maybe 2 miles of single track. The mountain wasn't open so it was worth it then but would not recommend it and I hiked over a mountain to drop in close to the top of lower rock Creek.

My daughter is in Big Pine.
I'm always looking for rides
there. I've done a little exploring
in Big Pine. Not really good biking,
but amazing sights and views.

Here's a site with some info on
the area. It's fat bike , but most
of their trails are doable.

Thanks guys.
Yeah, I'd come across that site. I got the feeling, having browsed the rides listed, that many were the sort of rides a local masochist would do having ridden everything else.
I guess I was looking for input whether or not to bother (persuade my riding partners to explore) given all that Mammoth has to offer.
Sounds like it might be best just hanging in Mammoth.
