I received unbelievably great customer service from Hadley Racing Hubs. And they're American made!

I'd been dealing with a small clicking noise not long after the Insurgent was assembled and put on the trail. I thought it might be the rear hub. I'd ran Hadley's on my old bike and was always impressed. Low maintenance despite the racing pedigree which might make one think otherwise, and always spun like a perpetual motion machine. It was an easy choice to put them on the new bike.

Anyway - shipped my wheel off to Hadley the other day to see if they could identify the noise and take care of it. Keep in mind I never definitively traced the noise to the hub. Could've been a pedal, the BB, rear der, or God only knows what. Seemed like the hub though.

Hadley received it, rebuilt it and shipped it back the very same day. You got that right? I shipped it Wednesday and received it back Friday (today). Crazy. Not only did they rebuild it and return the parts, but also hooked a brother up.

Some of the old parts:

The hookup: New rebuild kit and their toolkit and special lubricant.

I may never need a new set of hubs (yeah.. cuz I'm never going to get a new bike....), but when I do, it will be Hadley. I'm a customer for life!

It always feels better when an expensive bike has a problem and they slip you some special lubricant.

So true! "Too much" + "special lube".... Sounds like an oxymoron to me.

Brakes are out for warranty service, so I will not know for a bit longer.
