I remembered Salespunk had made some comments about the enduro 29 and how it was an ok bike, it just kinda made riding not as fun as something more lively.

:thumbsup: Exactly how I'm feeling about the Santa Cruz 5010 so far. It's a nice bike, climbs especially well but it's "all business" and "efficient" rather than fun, lively and twitchy which is what I liked about the Yeti SB5C. That will be my next bike when they release the internal cable routing and Boost spacing. Not because I care about Boost from a performance standpoint but the 5010 is Boost so all the parts will transfer over.

K2Rider; you have the enviable problem of getting to try out a lot of different bikes. If I had been thinking about a 5010 (I'm not), I'd now be thinking harder about the SB5C after having read your comments.

So many good bikes to choose from....I'm hoping to see an unveiling soon...

An unveiling of Harvey's new bike?

You are right about there being so many good bikes these days. It makes choosing hard for a beginner and, I think, even harder for an experienced rider who knows what they want. Especially with the cost of frames or completes these days.

Bike(s): Marin Rift Zone 3; Budget SS
Favorite Trails: Cuyamaca; Fanita Ranch
Three Recommendations:

1) One of those bike-soccer bikes;
2) A hand-crank recumbent mtb trike; or
3) A teeny-tiny circus bike.

You're welcome . . . .
