Skylar (aka skywalker) needs some new wheels. See here for background. So we're taking up a collection to sponsor the wheelset purchase.

I'm trying out a new payment widget. If you can't see it, it might be because you're on a device that doesn't do flash. Please let me know if there are any other problems/concerns.

If the flash thing isn't working try here

Skylar, what brand of brakes and rotor sizes is on your bike? I'd like to mount some rotors on the wheels and provide some race day brake pads also.

I definitely have a SRAM XO rotor (not sure if it's a 160 or 180...I doubt a 12 year old needs a 180 :) and a 30.9 Easton carbon seatpost if either of those will help.

i cant offer much in regards to financial assistance, but if young Skywalker ever develops the need for a bike mechanic I will be more than happy to volunteer my time & labor to him.
I may not be a pro shop, but i definitely have the skills & prior racing knowledge to get his bike setup TITS and ready to race (which more than a few members here can vouch for my mechanical abilities).

I spend way too much on bikes and only seem to get slower so this seems like the right thing to do. Go Skylar!

Houston we've got a problem. The wheels I have won't convert to the Trek rear hub configuration; I'll put some feelers out for the right stuff.

I say keep it going, I like the idea of a DT sponsored rider, even if it's just getting him a custom jersey, covering entry fees or some new tires till he gets some legit sponsors.

No refunds, I've reached out to a few people to find a nice wheelset; it's gonna happen.

Skywalker was presented with a DT Jersey several months ago, but an idea for a racing racing style jersey seems cool...
Anyone wanna throw some DT Themed designs our way?

For Quick n' Dirty Races - I'll cover $15 of the entry fee. Good for all 2014.
