http://www.beastfeaster.co.uk/2008/04/g ... -nuts.html

"the squirrel meat was quite tender, obviously a younger squirrel. my only judge of this was the meat tenderness, i imagine an older squirrel would be more exercised and thus tougher. please go ahead and point out all my inaccuracies in that theory. the taste itself was a strange hybrid of rabbit and duck with an underlying sweetness that i could only attribute to a life of eating hazelnuts and fruit in a forest somewhere."

Sounds lovely!

Does anyone frequent Encinitas Ale House? The have some varied off menu offerings, usually 2 different burger types at a time. So far I've tried the duck, pheasant, deer and alligator burgers. All really good. They had Lion burgers a while back but they just sold the last one before I showed up. I was told it wasn't all that great.

Back to the subject of this string... If anyone knows Mr. Campbell, can you get him back out there to clean up the horrendous mess he left along the trail? Apparently he "loathes blind corners" as he stated on Strava. I don't understand why he didn't just ride somewhere else? I LOVE blind corners! That was half the fun of Teote. Now it's just another dull featureless canyon...with a bunch of ugly dead foliage.

I had a offer for a full ride on football at Wash. State. Took a offer in LA instead, why because it was farther from home. Pretty dumb reasoning but it was the best I could come up with at 17.

It all pretty much worked out the same though. 5 years of fully paid college expenses in return for 5 years of work on the football field.

Thing is I don't remember those girls back in the day…
