Does anyone have experience with the Roco TST rear shock. Do I even need to bother adjusting or toss it right away? The compression adjustment works like an on/off switch. Pretty useless. I'm wondering if I should change the spring and try to adjust it or rip it out and go for a DHX 5.0 right away.

I've heard good things about it. Maybe that was just regarding the WC coil, but I thought the TST was good also.
As long as you have it, might as well tinker with it :)

I agree with what crazyhouse_5 said. I know their forks are riddled with issues, well, their forks are summer forks...summer good, summer bad. But the rear shocks from what I understand don't have issues. Maybe just try different settings, tune it to how you want it to behave and consult the manual for which spring tension you need. Shocks are easy to over-tune, so make sure you keep a written or a well remembered mental track of your adjustments.
If all that fails, and you don't like the way it responds after exhausting all tuning measures have it checked out by a mechanic, if they deem it is good to go, then you might want to consider the DHX-5 Coil...I still after 3 years really like mine.

Did you hit the trails today? ;-)

Sorry, the weather blows. I got about the only dry hours in last night. La Costa is great after 1/2 day of no rain. Switchbacks, Vista and NASCAR were all fine. Try not to hit one of the two mudpuddles...

Unfortunately it was raining a bit too hard for me to pull the bike out today. Boo took the day off to spend time with me and study for her GIS Final..which I think is tonight...So....Instead Boo and I went out and cruised a couple bike shops....some of you may have recieved a pic on their cell phones of a Panda Horn on a Christmas tree...that was at Bicycle Warehouse. Then we went out for a Sushi lunch at our local...so cool, they don't even need to bring us a menu anymore...its like we walk in the door and hear a collective....SLOTH and BOO!!!

I know that feeling... things that tell you you're dining out too much...

But it's a rice thing, RHS, isn't it. Are you still going strong on your rice fetish :-)
