This is probably the largest snake I've ever seen. Close to a 6 footer when laid out when we first came up to him. The picture doesn't do this beast justice. Looks like he just ate a rabbit and could barely move. He coiled into this position after a bit but didn't even rattle. Maybe too full? Scary thing is this guy was right behind my house  |

This boy was MASSIVE! Attachment: 0BF29856-D618-441A-8DF0-459006550DB8.jpeg [ 6.55 MiB | Viewed 6231 times ] A third bull, a bit thicker than this one, with a larger rack, popped up to my left and disappeared quickly into the woods before I could point the camera in his direction. Alerted by the shutter, I think... We had been seeing sign (including smelling them) for a few miles before we topped a small rise and spotted the two pictured grazing about 40 yards away. All in all a really good photo day!! |
