Hmm, when was this? I grew up in RB with my white Greg Hill BMX w/ black mags. :)


Back in 1978 through 1982 or so, and at the dawn of bmx freestyle. Think it may have been before your time, as I think Greg Hill didn't have his bikes out until I was phasing out of bmx. But it wasn't exactly an official post, just a nickname.

Here was my Skyway at work at Kearny, I think around 82.

I had a skyway ..... sweet bike. My first race bike was a GT santa anna when they first came out.

I remember trying to be cool one time in front of these girls back in the day. Popped a wheelie and uh oh.... out comes the gooseneck and bars. :shock: Bike does a cool ghost wheelie while I plant my rear hard on the blacktop! :oops: What an ego killer.

Hmmmm, a few times I could do it a few rotations on the pedals and a couple of times, while clipped in, did a few full slams on my back....lol....went back too far so braking didn't help...knocked the wind outa me....haa-haa :thumbsup:
