Cool....I don't think it's ugly. It's definitely different though.

Good call. I saw an Evil in Spring on Sunday* -- if it can handle 3 Barrels, you know there's nothing it can't handle.

*Saw a Chromag on that same ride; it was a great day for bike-spotting.

hopefully next week, but the rims are still in China "being processed through sort facility" according to the tracking#. Not 100% of the shipment method. I suspect air, but it could be tugboat of dolphin-back for all I know. I'll need to have them built up as soon as they get here.

It's going to be a long week or two...

Those rims are gonna take about a month to get to you from ordering.... At least mine did. Shipping took about 2 weeks.

My shipping for frame and wheels took 8 or 10 days, if I remember.

Is the bike complete or are you building it?

I would go with the Bronson.

I don't want to be the guinea pig on that Evil. Do some research and you'll find feedback on frame issue and such. You'll get a ton of support (local and from the company itself) with the Santa Cruz.

I hope bike spotting is nothing like train spotting.

You guys know I'm pretty sold on Santa Cruz bikes. However, all the reviews I've read on the new Bronson have not been favorable in comparison to the old model. Don't know if that due the change in ownership or the engineers just missed the mark.

From what I've read though the new Bronson doesn't climb or descend as well as the previous model and just not as much fun to ride.

That's all I have to share.

Can you share the reviews you've read? ALL of the reviews I've read are positive save for 1.

Positives.

I think this bike is not ugly at all - it's gonna look great in the Murder Black version. It's not that the Slime Yellow is so bad, cause it looks good on a simpler frame. But the black sorta subdues all the linkage busyness, and makes it look really purposeful...and Evil. Looking forward to seeing it on the trails soon!
