Hi All
Im going to climb Otay mtn from the general store up to the towers. If the heat holds off then maybe explore the fire roads on the other side for a bit of extra climbing and then back down to the store. Prob 2.5 hrs in order to escape from the heat.
Definitely a goater ride. Will be fun. If anyone knows a fun way down from the top that incorporates single track or something other than the FR please help me out!

Stats:
Appx 20 miles/4000-5000ft vert

Weather says 70 degrees at wheels rolling, 80 by 8am, 85 by 9am

Hey Wirk, Ill wait for you, Im only planning on two climbs.

Also, the general store is about 1/2 mile west of the Otay Lakes rd /94 Campo rd Intersection. I will try to get more precise directions by tonight.

I'm in! :bang:
You're stats JJ are slightly exaggerated though. A simple out and back to the towers is 12 miles with 3,000 vert. The chunky single track up top might add a mile or two and maybe 500 vert.
BTW Jsykes is planning a similar evening/night ride w/ flavored beverages stashed up top.

Hey.. I am going to have to bail.. as awesome as a 20 mile climb in 90 degree heat sounds I gotta get some work done tonight.. so I won't be able to make the 6:30 start time.

Hit me up if you are doing any midweek rides next week... Hopefully it might by my last week of 'vacation'.
