Are you guys planning on going up Middle Peak? I wonder how overgrown Black Oak is right now?

We might have to go up Middle Peak then.

Has anyone here gone up Cuyamaca Peak? Is is difficult?

To cuyamaca peak, tip top?

Not sure if we are speaking of the same thing but cuyamaca peak, after the Azalea (?) fire road is asphalt to the top. Last 1.5 miles or something. Easy pedaling on the asphalt but boring.

Is there another route up (besides bushwhacking) that you can take to the peak?

Cuyamaca peak has always been on my list of to-do's... previously via hiking but if it's only another 1.5mi on the bike I'm up for it. I'm not as die hard as ya'll, I don't mind a lil pavement to get to a good view.

It's been about 15 years since I've done it up to the tip top, but I think it's well worth it for one of the biggest views around. The pavement is very steep, but bike gears are much easier now, so it's probably not as bad as I remember.
