Yeah it looks sorta familiar, but kinda like it was played in reverse or something... in the DOWNHILL direction (cough... Fred... )

Next BB trip should be around the corner -within 2 weeks. Let's do this.

Any later in the season, trails there would be blown to bits.

I've got family in town this weekend, but would be up for something the week after!

So, are they allowing DH bikes up there?

Well they can't stop you from bringing your bike up there, but they may not put it on their lift.

Officially if the bike is over 38lbs it's no joy. However their have been sightings of DH rigs. If you have 2 bikes and one of the is under 38lbs, bring it too.

From this site:http://www.bigbearmountainresorts.com/summer/summer-activities/mountain-biking/

"Snow Summit transports (Cross-Country and All-Mountain) mountain bikes on the Sky Chair during the summer months with access off-site to Forest Service trails and roads.

We request that you try adhering to the majority of the following specs:

1. Bikes must be less than 38 pounds.
2. Designated tire size must be less than 2.5.
3. Front shock must have less than 7.5 inches of travel.
4. Bikes must have at least two chain rings unless they are single speed."

I've ridden up there allot on a 6" AM bike and always have a great time. Couple weekends ago got a chance to drag my 9" DH bike up there. After having cleared everything on a 6" bike the 9" ride was more of a novelty. I'll probably never bring my Mammoth bike to Snow Summit ever again as there is nothing as far as drops or jumps that make it worth while. That said if all you have is a big bike then the rules suck as it limits places you can ride as our bikes aren't cheap.

If you like Noble, and I know you do, you need to go to Santa Barbara.

Rallying some bro-hos for a Santa Barbara trip as we speak (the weekend after this or the next). I have fast rippers to ride with but that would be too typical so I'm trying to bring some raw talents up there to expand their perspective and horizon. I mean, you can't ride rock house or smooth paved so-called DH trails over and over and continue to wish to improve (dropping some hints here..hehehehe).

Looking to carpool with someone bec my truck's tires are nearly legally bald. Can't bend corners anymore.

Posted this one before but might as well stroke some more stoke for what to expect on this trip.

Keep me in the loop too! If I can get away from work I'm down to ride. Only got an AM bike I'll give it a shot.
