I'm feeling rather hesitant to post here, but here goes..... I've always ridden alone, but I would love to meet someone(s) to ride with. I'm not sure how "advanced/fast paced" I am, but I do know that the casual ride I tried last weekend was quite a bit too slow for me. For a gal, I'm quite fast, but for guys standards .... well, not sure how I would fare..... but if I'm holding you back, no hard feelings... you can always feel free to floor it!!!

Thanks, I like weekday mornings as I work from home..... Weekends, almost anytime is good.

Oh, I like hard rides as in cardio hard, not a connoisseur of hardcore DH or drops.....

Sycamore Canyon is one of the greatest MTB friendly places around!
I ride there every chance I get, but recently, with the price of gas
being what it is, I don't get 'over the hill' as much.
Like you, I ride alone almost all the time now. Although I certainly enjoy
my time on the bike by myself, group rides or at least having a couple of
people out there to challenge my fitness level ( :D ) is fun.

As you probably have found out, MTB riders are about as friendly a group as
you are likely to find. Sooooo, this is what I have done in the past when I'm looking for peeps to ride with. Get to the trailhead a bit early and get my stretching in and wait for a group to show up, then ask them if they wouldn't mind if you tagged along. I've never been turned down before. Just be ready for any pace that you might encounter.
After a while you will hook up with people you prefer to ride with.
I'd offer to show you around (as though you need it) but I don't have a San Diego
trip planned for a while.

Also, you are likely to find people here who will glady invite you on rides.

Rick

Favorite Trails: Noble, M.T., Sycamore, PQ, SJT
I typically ride M.T. or Sycamore/Martha's Grove every morning. I live accross from M.T. visitor center so usually try to get out before going to work at noon during weekdays and longer rides Fri/Sat when off. I tend to do most of my weekday riding by myself bc of work. I would prefer to ride with someone else which is safer and that can push the pace but most people work morning and ride evenings. Anytime your interested in riding hit me up, like I said I'm out every morning. Pm me if interested and I can send you # or you send me your to txt meetup location.

Hmmm - 12th fastest time up cardiac, i'd say you're fast paced by gals or guys standards. (I was just looking at rides through there in last week and recognized your avatar - not stalking you I promise  ) Oh and not only are you quick going up, you were 2 seconds faster than me going down too
