Just go ahead and go the full 29'er route. Everyone I know that has ridden or owned a 69'er now rides a 29'er. Oh, and 29'ers are the shit! And welcome!!!

69 ers are kool if you're on a budget or just like wow factor or just like attention (no offense intended Baja :D ) but for the full effect you may as well just go full 29er, I can't wait for the day I can!

You know I'm an attention whore
When I got that frame from EMFC I wanted to try his set up, I liked the big wheel up front but on steep climbing I got to remember to be careful not to lift it too much, other than that I love it, if I could afford it I'll go full 29er.

I did the 69er thing for a long time, I liked it and it just felt fast. But as most can attend here, it is a stepping stone to getting a full 29er. Once I tried the full 29er I have never looked back and wouldn't even consider a 26" wheel bike again in any configuration.

bummer. i was hoping 69ers would eventually get some good reviews. then maybe id be brave enough to get one. now motorcycles use the 69er concept in racing right? how come that doesnt translate to mtb racing? i have ridden 29ers and they are fun (have yet to ride a 69er) but i felt like the place where the 29ers were sub par was during uphillish turns especially switchbacks. with a smaller front wheel i imagine that would be minmized. I do know one guy on my team who rides one and hes pretty stoked on it but hes the only one ive met. Is there anyone out there that is a big advocate of 69ers? and why are 29ers always ss? whats the connection there?

69'ers are faster, lighter and better-looking. Don't trust these plain-29'er guys.

Partly: 69er SS, 26er SS, 26er boing-boing. Of course, the 69'er is the fastest and best looking. :D

i actually had one (05 big Hit FSR)....you can feel the 24" rear wheel get hung up all the time through rock gardens.
the cornering and acceleration was real nice though.

i eventually went to full 26"...(demo 8)

pics or link of the 69er? always been fascinated with them. conversley when i was a kid i put a small cw scooter wheel on my bmx bike, chopper style. it was actually fun as hell to ride. then i put drop bars on it. wish i had pics of that one. i always liked hacked frankenbikes.
