Nice ride...................

Why '13? How's it different from the '12?
I can't decide between a 29 or 650b? I really
like the idea of the Honzo.
Whatcha think?

Clyde

Well my black Fox f29 was replaced under warranty with a white Fox 34 stanchioned fork and I know this sounds girly, but I preferred a black fork with that blue frame. So, I bought the new '13 frame and my old one is for sale. The '13 added a top tube gusset and is supposed to have more standover. FYI, word on the street is that Kona is releasing a 650b version of the Honzo next month. They're calling it the Explosif.

Nice bike Mike. Why is the front brake cable behind the steer tube, and on the right side (motorcycle rider?) does it limit your steering any? Obviously not. You kept the fork tube long so that you can run the stem in a neutral or negative position? Or carbon doesn't slice? The bike looks fast, if that makes any sense.

Fork design has the cable go behind the steer tube. At least that's what I found on Google. Fork tube longer than usual in case it needs to be sold. I did cut off 2.5 inches. The stem is currently installed in the Negative position. I am thinking of placing it lower.
Great fitness trail bike as long as not too bumpy or rocky. My Back is paying for it right now.

I have the Scott Scale HT 29er with a suspension fork, I never ride that thing; it's hard to pass on my Stumpjumper, it does everything I expect from a bike. Enjoy the new Ride

Main use for this bike is short hop commute to UCSD. as some of you know, parking is about $100/mo there so I park a couple miles away and bike in. Sometimes i go through the Eucalyptus grove for fun so I built this up. great for lunchtime workouts too :)
