It's been too hot in my garage to build the bike though

Here she is :D

All I need now is to get the Brake lines shortened about 6" each and install a New Bottom Bracket.

I sold my Ellsworth and an Orbea Road bike to get these. I purchased the Ellsworth when I had a good paying job plus part time work.

Dude build that baby up and give us a test report. Inquiring minds want to know how Shellie rides!

Currently frustrated with how cable routes :(

I'm normally not too fond of routing the left shifter cables to the left of the frame and the right shifter cables to the right of the frame. I like crossing the shifter cables at the front of the frame.

Should have went for the tallboy or kept the Ells. Too much flex in the SC single pivots. But I guess it won't matter that much for you compared to me.

Both the Tallboy and Ellsworth were too tall for me so I opted for the lowest standover available for a 29er, the Superlight 29.

It's done and routed. now to shorten the brake lines. Off to NOTB. I don't like messing with the hydraulic lines other than bleeding them.

Took her out for a spin, Definitely a great bike off the bat. I previously had a size small Ellsworth Evolve, nice bike but the Geometry for someone short like me was off. Toptube was way too long.

Enter Shellie, my Santa Cruz Superlight 29 :D

Geometry has a shorter top tube and lower standover. I did sacrifice a little bit of the standover by putting in a 120mm fork instead of a 100mm but I can still Stand(yes!!!) in front of the saddle and have both feet flat on the ground (rejoice!!!!).

Anyway, she is set up for XC and this bike handles really well, I couldn't even tell I am on a 29er like I did with my other bike.

I only have 15 minutes with her so far on some dirt and several stairs.

Hello Milo! Very beautiful your Santa Cruz Superlight 29, the frame is size Small? What is your height? I measure between 5 ' 7 "and 5 ' 8", and a Small size would be good for me, since my Overall Reach is 66 cm? hug
