Back before I left for deployment the misses wanted to give MTBing a try. So I threw a bike together with some spare parts I had laying around to get her out a couple times before I left. She really enjoyed it and wanted to keep doing it once i got back. So back in June when we were on our way back to SD I started looking around for a suitable rig for her. She's tall and new so I figured a 29er fully would be great. I ended up spending some time in Hawaii and wandered into a local shop and saw the Trek "Fisher Collection" Hifi plus. It was in the budget range and had the spec I was looking for, 3x10, Reba fork, slacker geometry. I walked out that day with the wifey's new rig, it did start life as a "commuter" for me while I was in Hawaii for 3 weeks. But since I've been back it's been all hers, I even went and added a couple little touches that set it apart as a "hers only" bike. It's nice to get a new person out on the trails and enjoying our awesome sport. Here's a couple shots.
