Looking for tire recommendations. Have Bontrager Revolt Super X Tubeless 2.1 currently. Thinking about running Larsen TT 2.35 in rear and maybe a Crossmark 2.35 up front. Looking for a little extra cushion. Probably go with standard tires converted to Stans. Dood - I see you have something similar with the Kendas, how is that set up treating you?

I have Nevegal 2.35 up front and SB8 2.1 in the back.

I've liked this setup a lot, but since I put regular XC bars back on, I've noticed more slippage in the back.

The SB8s held in really well with the On-One Mary bars cuz the bars let be get back over the back wheel when up and climbing. The XC bars bring my weight up a bit, and I spin out more now.

I am running Kenda Blue Groove in the front and Maxxis High Roller in the back, both 2.35. I REALLY like the setup, excellent traction and cornering.

I took a slightly different approach - less rolling resistance in lieu of more traction - and am running 2.1 Panaracer Fire XCs at around 30 psi. With a hard tail, it's easier to compensate for less traction by planting the rear end when things get a little loose.

Larry,
How do you like the bike? Have you had a chance to try it out yet? Throw some 2.35 Nevvy's on there and you'll be luv'n it!

I lowered the post some more and it feels great. I even bought some Ourys for my Bullit. Way better than the Peatys I have.

Larry,

I have Maxxis Advantage on mine and they are great. I guess someone here was trying to sell 2 very reasonable for the 2.4 version which I should have bought.

I am overall happy with Maxxis tires.

Thats exactly what I've got on my zion. I've liked them so far. The tires have a fairly hard compound but because I can run lower tire pressure being tubeless they still offer good traction

I like a 2.1 Velociraptor in the back for traction and a 2.4 Mutano up front for floatation and good traction other than in deep silt (where I don't go with the SS, anyway).

I have Schwalbe Racing Ralph 2.25s on my SS front and rear. It's a bit sketchy on the front as it sometimes washes out a bit on turns. There are better front tires out there.

But the back is awesome. I love the grip from these tires on both rock and loose stuff. They don't look like they shoudl grip that well in the rear but they really do.
