I've been wanting to build up a hardtail for sometime now and knew I wanted to go simpler but didn't think I'd end up here.

My Canfield Bros. Nimble 9 with a fresh coat of dust.

AWESOME and RAW are the only words I can come up with to describe it.

Is that La Costa? If so you are crazy riding the rigid fork in those rocks! I just imagined riding my BMX cruiser there... Sweet bike, looks like a blast to ride.

Thanks. The fork is a Voodoo Zombie 500. If you look close you can see the Voodoo logo through the dust. I would have de-branded it but it's under the clearcoat.

Don't know. Mid twenties if I had to guess. It's noticeably lighter than my Stumpy which I is supposed to be in the 28-30# range.

Yep its La Costa. I rode clockwise from the entrance off Sito Salvia (i.e. up Switchbacks and down Vista del Mar avoiding the 'dip' in between). The rigid front end really makes for a whole body workout climbing and descending. I'll likely put a 120mm fork on after a save up the cash to get one.

Looks nice!

Its about fuckin' time someone posted up their newly build rig, right after a ride with a fresh spattering of dirt, to make it even better, its La Costa's very distinguishable dirt, and a full rigid to boot! Great job!

lol not even looking at the side walk, that dust color comes from La costa or Elfin. Good looking bike. Riding rigid there is pretty fun but I don't think I'd go down on nascar on mine.

Good looking bike!!

Very nice ride, congrats. I've been on a Canfield Yelli Screamy for a while now and I love it. I run it SS with a 120mm fork, such a fun bike. I would have a hard time choosing between it and the Nimble, fortunately the Nimble was avaialbe when I bought mine!

I'll keep a lookout for you at La Costa.

I had a lot of rather masochistic fun on my nimble 9 in its original, rigid state. Now, with a squishy front end it rocks!
The new fork came in the post yesterday. My hacksaw blade was dull and it took forever to cut the steerer tube down-I likely could have gone to Home Depot and back with a new blade, cut the damn thing, and had a couple of beers in the amount of time it took... Anyways, I went for a ride after work today and am super stoked! :bang:
