Im thinking about getting a Prius... they seem pretty cool. I was gonna wait fro the New Diesels to come out(VW), but Diesel is 5 buckish and as gas goes up so will Diesel Im sure. and 45-50 in a Prius on regular gas at 4.30 versus, 45-50 in a Vdub diesel at 5 a gallon is better no? Commuting sucks but I lke my job and I like where I live they just happen to be far away from each other...anyone got a Prius? opinions on the car? To me its dorky looking but its efficient and looks to be able to handle a bike with the seats folded and both wheels off.

My wife's uncle has the Prius. They're very happy with it.

I work with a guy that has the Civic. His is an older model, and he loves his, but have you seen the new ones??? I think they're pretty sweet.

the new honda civic's? ya but the hatch on the Prius allows me a little more versatility for hauling my bike from home to work... and in years past the concern was with the battery but I was reading that in Canada Prius's have gone to 240K mile on one battery...if Honda had a hatch civic like they use to Id be up for that...

just get a nice gas sipper because you did the ROI and know that the break even point on the Prius is pretty high

I've had my eye on the Matrix or something similar for that reason. More fuel efficient than a Pathfinder, can hold a lot of shit, and doesn't cost much.

well I assume that number gets smaller as gas prices get higher...and vice versa with a car that gets less MPG
