If you didn't know, now you know. This place is the poo! And Krispy Kream is just around the corner for desert.

Yes, Waterfront has VERY good burgers. And I have another off the wall spot.... The Hungry Stick billiards parlor in Claremont. Surprisingly fantastic burgers.

Fat Burger, Rocky's, Nessy's, Mr. Peabody's -- so many good burgers I haven't eaten, and so little time. I've heard that The Waterfront Bar and Grill has excellent burgers, too. Because it's a piece of San Diego history, I think that's the first new-to-me joint I'll check out.

I love Hodad's, but going there requires so much effort that I have to say In-N-Out is my favorite everyday burger joint. Most of the goodness of Hodad's, with none of the hassle. Now if In-N-Out only had onion rings, I might never go to Hodad's -- nah, that's crazy talk.

I shouldn't let this one out of the bag, cause it's my local spot, but Jeff's Burgers in LJ shores is pretty tasty.

My list, in no particular order:

In n Out
Jeff's
Island's (the Hawaiian on white)
Waterfront
The Hungry Stick
Whataburger (old college days favorite)

In East County, Beef & Bun is good but ya need to try Double Value Fine Burger in Santee. It's right next to the little ampitheater by Starbucks in the Town Center. Puts Island's to shame.

If you're ever in NYC, try this place. Second Ave, just south of 86th st.

Low brow, big fun.

They scoop the beef up with a bowl and throw it on the grill.

Across the street is a great Irish pub, just to top off the evening.

Gonna have to try some of these burger places mentioned here. Thanks for the tips.

Speaking of Burgers, I will go and try Hodad's now...

Encinitas Ale House, it's across the street from Cardiff Classics, small hole in the wall, good selection of micro brews, the burgers are pretty amasing. I recomend the Santana Burger and a Russian River IPA
