Can anyone give me a list of benefits and reasons why rice is better than pasta. Not just tastes better, but the health benefits as well.
I know some, but am interested in your opinions.
I love rice, always have. When I was a kid, I would make rice and brown gravy, yeah totally trashy, but man those were the days (back-in-the-day).

Alright, Boo and I made some of this tonight on our Basmati rice. We of course added chicken, and a few simple veggies. It turned out pretty good. Although, we thought we were buying HOT curry. It wasn't hot, not even mild, the fact that there wasn't even a spicy flavor didn't deter our meal, as I added some Sriracha while cooking to give us the desired heat.
I may be wrong on this though, is it like when you have hot Italian sausage and its not hot, it just means that theres different spices added?
Have any of you had it before?

i've only had curry from the thai place (spices), the indian place (*), and in indonesia when i was there. never had any that was particularly spicy.

now texas chili back home... that shit burned on both ends.

havent tried that one...and you're right their idea of HOT is not really hot at all...i usually add in tabasco to kick up
