Very Cool. A guy died there on Saturday I think... gnarly stuff. South swell smashed him on the rocks.

I was at huntington for the surf comp on Sunday.

I surfed Cottons and Uppers on Friday. Cottons was huge, surfline said 10 - 12ft but there was triple overhead sets that came in about every half hour and completely removed the line up. It was amazing. That was definately the biggest water I have been in. In the middle of one of the sweeper sets a guy came up about ten feet from me with saucer eyes and was screaming for help. I thought he was going to drown me, his leash popped and he FREAKED. Hopefully 911 at ATT won't seem as scary now, but I doubt it.

Cardiff/Pipes Friday afternoon and Doheny Saturday morning. OC definitely saw the brunt of the swell. A lot of water moving out there, especially on the rogue sets. I was in survival mode just making sure I didn't get caught inside and trying to pick off a shoulder here or there.

Cisco, where's Cottons?

Cottons is the Northern reef at Trestles. Much more mellow wave than uppers and lowers. I hear ya' about survival mode. It was like surfing in a class V river. Glad I went out..... more glad I came in.

Really glad I'm injured and not guarding on big days like that. Yikes.
