So, I'm calling a race this weekend at Willow Springs Raceway (just outside of Lancaster for those not familiar) and it was the hottest day that I've ever experienced there, going all the way back to 1985.................114.7 degrees with a track temp of 159!!!!!!!!!!

I had things sticking that had never been stuck before! And rumor has it that it will be even hotter tomorrow.

Ive been out there for a track day in full leathers when it was 100'ish out. We had a pit crew inside the trailer waiting for us to come in to help strip off the gear and get into the a/c. I can only imagine 114. jeez. Then again you dont notice the heat when your doing a buck fifty down the straight.

Miserable. I did a track day in Pahrump one time and it was 116. Like riding in a freakin OVEN!!!

Well I guess tire warmers aren't need for the race.

Yeah, temps like that suck for everything. Motors don't make crap for power, cooling systems puke, riders drop like flies from heat exhaustion, tires can't take the temps and slide around like a greased pig.

I did a criterium in Ontario today. It was 105 degrees. I pulled myself from the race halfway through.

You guys should try using celcius, it won't sound as bad.

I was at the river this weekend 118, oh yeah a/c broke too, packed up & was home by 2:30am

Rode yesterday at 6:30am to beat the heat, as this fat little guy wants none of that overheat thing going on.
