Favorite Trails: The one I'm riding today.
A group of friends and I have been planning a trip to a Lake Elsinore Storm (Padres affiliate) game for a few weeks now. No big deal. We got pretty good seats--4th row over the home dug out/3rd base line.

We arrived early and wondered why the place was a zoo. There were scalpers in the parking lot--WTF!!??--and Dodger fans everywhere, some of them wearing fake dreads under their caps. Sorry, but I still wasn't making any connections. I guessed the Storm was playing a Dodger affiliate, but this was pretty crazy.

Turns out the Storm was playing the Inland Empire 66ers--a Dodger affiliate and they had a player on their roster you may have heard of before: Manny Ramirez??

We had no idea when we got the tickets a month ago, but it turns out Manny is playing in a limited capacity with them while serving his MLB suspension.

Game starts, he's first up to bat. First pitch--strike 1. Second pitch--Solo jack over the left field wall. Too funny. I'm not really a Dodger fan or a Manny fan but it was pretty unexpected and pretty cool to see such a spectacle in a small minor league park like that.

And to top it all off--our section won coupons for free In N Out Double Doubles :bang: :bang:

That's great! The Storm stadium is pretty cool really, done sorta retro, feels small & open, like most of the new ones now. Besides the Manny show, did they have some wacky things you never see in the majors? Last time I went, they had a pig delivering fresh baseballs to the mound, and "Dancing Christopher" during the stretch.
