I’m celebrating I got rid of one of my bicycles.
I had to listen to a few songs, but I gave it to homeless guy up in Oceanside.

^^^ That’s a favorite, both for its name and taste. Your latest selections caused me to pull up some music — Little Anthony and the Imperials. Yeah, I know. Not gonna post it. I had a bottle of Old Rasputin at sunset recently, and my son got me a large bottle of Dragon’s Milk which is awaiting the right moment. I should keep my eye open for some Velvet Merkin. Cheers!

This stout from Temecula is pretty good. And yes, I am sitting outside because I have rain-induced cabin fever, and I’m tinkering with an old bike, because my three newer ones are in perfect shape to ride, and I don’t feel like doing anything more useful.

[DT throwback: beer glass is from a long-defunct Santee brewery I visited with Canaan, and ChristD sent me the opener  ]

Apparently there’s this thing called “Dry January”, and my riding buddies were participating. But not me. What a beautiful day for a ride — with the traditional beer afterwards. Yeah, it’s a vice I enjoy.

This evening’s beer is indoors, and from a can, both anomalous for me. And it’s delicious.

This one from St. George, Utah was gifted to me also, and I had hopes for it, although the flavor list made me wary. Could’ve done without the hint of vanilla, and I prefer more head on a stout. This was sorta like drinking a flat Coke. Still, I drank it all…

I was hoping for a warm glow last evening from some Westland whiskey and a sunset. Instead it started raining again, seemingly out of nowhere, and the dog and I dashed for the house. I think he dislikes getting rained on more than I do.

It’s good to be back, with another tiny bottle of fine bourbon to ease the pain. The sunset had muted tones, but I enjoy every one. You don’t know how many you get.
