I think it's only cool if you're in Belgium drinking one of those exotic California beers

Beyond hazy to chunky! Meant to emulate an Old Fashioned cocktail. The fruit almost ruins it but the bourbon redeems it.

Probably not a popular opinion with the beer snob crowd, but I dig Anchor Steam.

Anchor Brewing is cited by some as the first craft brewer in the U.S. I went to school in the Bay Area and consumed my share of dollar pints of Anchor Steam at happy hour. I still like it, but it's pretty tame in comparison to most of the craft beers that followed.

I don't know if hanging out in the Tenderloin is regarded by most as "school".

The problem is that's where Hastings is located (no joke).

^^^ Coincidentally, about the same time you posted this yesterday, a relative, a Texan, was mixing one for my wife. I hadn’t heard it called an ojo rojo, and he hadn’t heard it called michelada. It went well with fried catfish at their place in the country.

Tonight, it’s whiskey in the backyard. It rained and hailed this morning, which cut the southern heat drastically, and now it’s pleasantly cool, with birdsong and the smell of grass and moist earth.

I'm still a little jealous that Harley posted that up and none of it went down my Michelada hole.

As good as ho'made or Bud Michelada? If yes, where to acquire?
