A few of you may know that I'm an announcer for motorcycle roadracing events at various tracks throughout the U.S. and this weekend is round 5 of the AMA Superbike Series at Infineon Raceway up in Sonoma, Ca.

Anyway, for those of you that are into motorcycle roadracing and may be up here, I'll be manning the mic as usual and might even try to get a plug in over the air for Dirt Treaders!

If you're interested in what kind of racing this is, checkout the link below.

The only drag about this line of work is that I end up missing a weekend of riding. And up here in Sonoma there are some kick-ass trails that I'd love to ride if I had the time. Oh well, I can think of worse things.

See ya back on the trails next weekend!

No ATT for you. Sucks too cause you'd be right at home with the new addition to the bike. Meh, next time.

Thats pretty cool! Me and my buddies were taking hits off the track pipe up at Willow Springs for 2 years before the economy started heading downhill and it just got to be too expensive of a hobby for us. (plus the whole buying a house and having kids thing cut into it as well) Now we are mountain biking to get our kicks.

We sometimes imitate the foreign motorcycle announcers when passing eachother on the trail. They just crack me up sometimes the way they get so excited as if they won the lotto or something

Nice, I think I heard you down at Fontana this year as well. no?

I'll be driving up to WSBK at the end of the month. And bringing the mtb along for a week of riding along the way

You are correct Sir! This was my 5th year running at Auto Club Speedway.

Ahh yes, I think I'm still paying off my 2003 AMA pro season after dropping damn near six figures. But the only thing better than hitting the track pipe is sniffing exotic 2-stroke fumes all season.

Yep, I'm old school too. In fact, I have to think about it every time I open the mic to say Infineon instead of Sears.

Thanks, I would argue one of the best in the world. With any luck, it may be my full-time gig in the next couple of years.

Sweet.

My good friend Jeremy Toye raced on the circuit.

Until you've been to one live, it's ridiculous how fast & leaned over they go. :bang:

Let me get this straight, you get paid to watch racing and talk? That's rad! Hope you have fun and don't butcher any of those impossible foriegn names! I hope to hear some good stories on the next ride.
