well, if consumer confidence goes up as a result of their findings, the affects will probably diminish sooner.

i just want my salary back.

Just click your heels together and say; "There's no place like home....there's no place like home...." :hello:

Guess what folks... Increased sales tax, higher property tax, increased car registration fees, etc.

Yeah, the state's financials are a mess. I haven't followed that too closely.

Mudd, I just saw your sig and thought I'd reply :)

Federal income tax will have to rise at some point, once the current turmoil clears up. There just isn't a choice. We'll have to learn to live with it, too. People will blame Obama perhaps, but in reality Bush set the whole house of cards up. He kept lowering taxes for his rich buddies even while waging an incredibly expensive war. His largest tax break was signed into law as he was announcing his damn Iraq initiatives. What a corrupt bastard! Bush fired his treasury secretary in 2002 or 2003 because he wouldn't stop telling him the truth: we can't afford your policies!

So yes, CHANGE+HOPE=taxes because there is no alternative. Obama knowingly walked into this mess too, so he's got bigger balls than me.

Ahhhh! Oh boy...political arguments. Life is great in the Blue State! Hey, I am a recovering democrat, and like Ronald Reagan said; "The party left me". Guess what? Harry Reed and Nancy Polosi had the same intelligence information as "W", so I hold them all accountable. Regarding the housing mess we're in, check with ACORN and the bailed-out banks.

I don't want this country to move toward Socialism. Socialism breeds mediacracy. (The DMV for example).

Capitalism breeds innovative thinking and success. The reward for success is money. I don't want someone, paticularly a politician or a group of politicians to "redistribute" my wealth if I'm successful. I really really don't understand the Hollywood elite.

Tell me about it, CA. wants $592 for my truck registration renewal! Are you kidding me!
So, I moved it to FL. with the rest of my vehicles and will cost under $150 for registration, transfer fees and personalized plate! I love Florida!!! Oh, and no state taxes. They just do have as good mtb areas. Now I have the best of both worlds!

I was just referring to the need for higher taxes. The housing mess ... ugh ...

I agree, but I don't buy the "we're going to become socialists" thing. The guys with the real money that actually run this place wouldn't let that happen. :)

+1 I don't want to talk politics or religion, as all it is a fight.

However I will say this about Obama/McCain. As Sladnas said those two guys have the biggest balls for wanting to be President in this mess.

As to Financial expert if you want to believe it good, consumer confidence is down, so no spending. That's the problem, most Americans don't save, so when holding onto cash & not spending that's bad for everyone.

I will say this & only applies to me, I am so slammed, with interest rates & house prices low its definitely favorable to a borrower right now.Inventory is finally depleting so we'll have the old supply & demand situation.
