its snowing bigtime, so mtb is probably out ofthe question. I am going there this friday to tuesday and have monday all to myself to go on a very long bike ride. if I dont find an indoor mtb park, i am going to do a cold road/urban ride. anyone know any local cycle secrets of seattle. ie; place to rent one, a long bike path paved dirt or snow, slush? what am i getting myself into here. ill probably wind up winding through downtown and exploring.

Don't they have a cool mountain bike park under the 5 freeway? I don't know where in Seattle but I'm sure is worth to do some research.
Have fun and please post some pictures.

I know that this guy lives under the 5 fwy just north of seattle. He looks like he prefers to eat VWs instead of MTBs. That is a real full-sized old VW in that picture for scale.

thats very cool. thanks for the link. well, Ill probably go do that. i dont have full body armor though, so im thinking with southridge series final race the next saturday, I either build up mad skills at the park, or get injured. im not a big jumper/dropper. i wonder if there is a trail, even if its a mile or two that is more like am than fr or dh.

theres also a bike expo http://www.cascade.org/EandR/expo/features09.cfm
that looks pretty cool. at least if i go on sat, peeps can tell me other cool places to ride on monday when i have the whole day to ride in the cold.
