Was thinking of camping up there Saturday pre-ride and also Sunday post-ride, but it appears that everything I know about up there is reserved on Saturday already. I don't want to go through the hassle of setting up camp for just one night. Does anyone have some secret sauce/alternatives that would be viable? Would be with the wife and dog, so facilities of some sort, and ability to have a legal camp fire are necessary.

BTW, the three campgrounds that I'm aware of that are reserved already are Laguna Campground, El Prado and Burnt Rancheria. Are there any others?

There are some spots off the road that goes along upper Noble, but they do not have facilities and not sure about fires there. Same can be said for the Wooded Hill area, except I know there are pit toilets there. You may want to consider renting a small rv so you could be mobile and flexible.

You can camp dispersed outside Laguna rec area, there are plenty of spots. Fires aren't allowed though, not that that stops everyone. But you wouldn't be very popular the next day if you burn down Mt Laguna

Unfortunately, I live in Seattle now too - otherwise I would totally do this ride.

You probably didn't recognize that as a joke, because usually jokes are funny.

I agree with you K2, the climb up to Red Roost did suck but I never made it there. (Went right when I should have went straight) I got turned around up there and ended at Wooded Hill parking. The trail was crap and not used much and I can see why that wouldn't be a "happy ending".
The last DT noble ride started at Wooded Hill last time too.

If a group was to ride up top we can up back up to Wooded Hill parking by using Chico Ravine. Turn left on the country road past the Los Gatos turn and right to the parking.

With my achilles, I just can't handle the small drops on Noble so I'll stay up top. We can all meet up there at Wooded Hill or down at the bottom of Noble. At some point in time the shuttle boys will need to get the trucks back down too.

I need some help with this because both (all three?) rides are in unfamiliar territory.

Can someone take charge on logistics?

What time should we meet? Where specifically?

I'm not sure where the place that Dirtrider was talking about is located since we always start at the informational kiosks. However, that would not work for a BBQ & beverages afterwards.

It may not be convenient but it's supposed to be in the mid to upper 80's in Pine Valley on Sunday so the earlier you start, the cooler it will be....and the less bugs you'll have to deal with.

I think the riders doing Noble should meet at the lower lot in Pine Valley at ____ am and then shuttle up from there. I guess making sure there's enough vehicles and space to get everybody up could be pretty important as well.

Wooded Hill Th is 3 miles (6 mins) up the road from the Kiosk. I usually ride from the Kiosk up the country road to Los Gatos. If you continued up the Country road just a bit you will end at Wooded Hill.

I know nothing about Wooded Hill. Is there parking for a bunch of cars? Anyone? All I know is parking by the Kiosks at the Mile 19 marker of Sunrise Hwy.

Yes, I rode there on Sunday and there are two parking areas. Itr's basically the other end of the Country road you ride up to get to the top of Los Gatos. If you kept pedaling another 3 mins past the LG connector you would be in the lot.
