When I texted the pics of our squash blossoms to family back east the response I recieved was, "you need to dredge, batter and fry with garlic" heres a couple pics I took of them fairly early this morning, the lighting was prime. Im gonna have to try the fry thing, sounds tasty.

I snapped this in my driveway as I was leaving for work this morning. I don't know the name of this succulent, but the flowers are really nice. They close up at night and open in the morning.

That is Rock Purslane, and is indeed a beautiful flower, and one one of my favorites.

Duh, Dudleya...just realized this shot is a close up of the flower stalk, by itself, of one of my favorite native plants. Didnt recognize it without the context of the whole plant. Nice photo!

Slow-Mo Sunday...

It was peaceful, stopping to take flower photos up on Los Gatos last Sunday. If you listen carefully, you can hear a bird chirping along with the freewheel whirring.

I told Dale I would shoot video, and then do a frame grab to get the best still photo. So he rode everything slo o o w mo so I could get the shot. Think I'll leave it slow-mo..
