For the guys on here who moto, Devin(the old owner of El Cajon MX Park) will be taking over at Barona.

Here is the info.

December 19, 2008

Walter and Dayton Benegas have teamed up with the founder and operator of the El Cajon MX Park to bring you an all new facility for 2009. Starting on January 3rd 2009, Barona Oaks MX will be open weekly on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 5pm. Open practices will be run and split only if necessary (no more waiting an hour to ride). We will be working with CMMC and a few other racing promoters to provide a first class racing experience.

The track has been completely re-designed. We have used the natural terrain to create a fast, wide, fun and challenging layout while keeping the obstacles safe. The layout will be changed monthly and the track will be groomed to perfection in order to keep you coming back.

We will be doing everything we can do to provide you a premier motocross facility in San Diego County. We hope you will enjoy and support our facility.

Practice Fees - $25

that's good news. i rode el cajon mx the day before it closed... what a sad, sad day. it was funny, the city said they were going to expand the airport or something so that's why they closed the track (from what i heard). i went by years later and it was still just an empty lot, lame.

Yep was supposed to be made room for airport hangers.

I haven't seen a hanger built yet.

Also watch A1 live after the first practice on Jan 3rd.

Devin is good people, plus he knows how to run a MX as a business, that place will blossom now.

Also thank you for no more, four split practices.

I didn't goo Sat. because of a DJ incident where I ran out of talent, but man does the track look good. Looks like Devin made that place awesome.

That's only about 3 miles from my house. I'll have to check it out.

I'll be hitting it up in a week and a half, for practice.

My new favorite track! The layout is great. Fast, good jumps and good dirt. I could do without some of the rocks though. I would put Barona up there with Perris.

I was hoping to make it out there last Thurs. didn't happen, may hit up after a couple of weeks as months end is nuts for me.
