Hoe Lee Shit.

Well, that gives me some insight to how and why the admins and mods at STR might be quick on the draw with links and TOS violations. They've been through some crap I suspect wasn't in the program when they decided to stoke their MTB habit with an online community.

"It changes you". Yeah, I bet it does.

Yeah, good comment, the many soap operas that go on there amaze me. Actually I didn't know about that Warrick stuff either, or even most of what led to the creation of this site, or some pathetic comments made regarding the bike donation. But I went back and read them. So I guess I do know some history now.

Someone did make a comment about that stuff being inevitable as a site's membership grows -- that may be true to some extent. I know I frequently have to restrain an urge for a snappy answer. We might think we're being witty, but someone else will just think we're being an a-hole. But not every one is given to reasoned, dispassioned discourse. And some of it is pretty funny.

Hopefully most people will pause to think before posting. I'm not looking for Pleasantville (a great movie, that's the point of it..), but hope this will continue to be a great local site.
