Ideally with 15x100 front axle (or at least convertible to) and 9x135m rear hub. Disc brake compatible too. Looking to build my daughter her new ride as she graduates from her 20".

What 'cha got?
Could trade for parts too.

Ozzer, I wish you luck. my little princess just graduated to a 24" Hotrock that I found on Craigslist. It came with vee brakes, but the frame and fork have disk tabs. I would like to hook her up with disk brakes but, have been doing some looking for prebuilt 24" disk wheels and haven't found much.

There’s a couple sets on PB, but you knew that. One from SD.

There are quite a few 24" prebuilts out there but you have to drop some $$$. I might just get the Spank wheelset. Tubeless ready and the hubs are both convertible.

I could justify getting a good wheelset as my younger son will more than likely inherit my daughter's 20" hot rock and eventually inherit the new bike I'm building for my daughter.

This is my first build from a stock 20" Hotrock.

This is the most recent iteration of the Hotrock with a few changes with feedback from my daughter after her first few weeks on it. Switched to trigger shifter from twist. She had a lot of accidental shift with the twist shifter. Kid specific flat pedals- less rock strikes and improved ground clearance. New meatier Maxxis tires. Suspension seatpost - she sits a lot. Shorter stem and wider carbon bar.
My son and I already talked about "his" upgrades. Cover everything that's pink. I will probably change the cranks to Tralcraft. You could get a 140mm arm length and direct mount ring as small as 26t.

Now, the new project is converting this small 26" carbine to fit my daughter with a 24" wheelset.
Intense Cycles' main man built this for his daughter but she's outgrown it.

Like I said, I'm a restless soul when it comes to building bikes, any bikes. I like my touches on it and so it begun. The frame is currently masked and hope I don't screw up with my paint job. LOL.

Bikes are fun...

Thanks, Dog. I sent a message to the SD guy but I don't think his front hub is convertible.

I'm using what came with the bike which is a RS Revelation for standard 26" wheel. It's air spring which is a plus so I could make it stiffer for road riding or supple soft for mountain biking for my petite sized daughter.

I bought the Schwalbe Black Jack 24" tires. I like the tread design and 2.1" width of the Jacks. I think the Rons are not too ideal for kids or beginner level riders as the tread pattern could be a bit slippery especially on hard packs. There are other good 24" tires out there like Maxxis DHF 24" and Kenda Nevagal but these two are pretty heavy at over 1100-1300g each. The Black Jack is roughly under 700g. Another tire I liked is the Schwalbe Snyper 24". Less aggressive tread (like a Maxxis Aggressor) but lighter than the Black Jack by 40g. I picked the Black Jack because I like full knobs.

Here's an almost finished 24" bike for my daughter. I'm still waiting for a shorter dropper post. This thing is looking pretty fun that I might actually ride it for kicks right after she breaks in it.

Let me know if you need help with tires or any kids' bike stuff. I have some 20" mtb tires and parts she had graduated from that I no longer need.
