So I have this 180mm rotor, that I just learned, won't work with mechanical Avid brakes. Its never seen dirt and has been bolted on to a brand new hub for about 4 days.

i am looking to trade someone for a 160mm rotor that has seen minimal use. I just want to get my bike going again.

Cheers

You know they make adapters to adjust to the different size rotors

lbs told me the angle of the rotor inside won't work. i have all the avid adapters. there isn't one at 180, just 185.

Just use the 185mm adapter with the 180mm rotor. You should be able to just file the adapter a few mm's to fit. It is only off by 2.5mm. For reference 1/8 inch is 3.18mm. Don't need much.

Yea i agree with that one, Dont see why you couldnt make the 185 adapter work but you are more than welcome to my 160mm even though it is a different brand i guess you just want to ride Haha
